Who we are

BinBird provides rubbish removal services in Melbourne, Victoria. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address (if provided), suburb, postcode, street address (if provided), details of the job and any photos you upload.

Why we collect it

We use this information to prepare and send your quote, contact you about the job, schedule and complete the work, and keep business records. We don't sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Photos

Photos are resized on your device before upload and location data (GPS) is removed. Only BinBird staff can view them.

Where it is stored

Your information is stored with Google Firebase in the Sydney (australia-southeast1) region and emails are sent through Google (Gmail).

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for 2 years and then delete them, unless we need to keep them longer by law.

Access and correction

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting binbird57@gmail.com or 0404 202 266.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, contact us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
